Espai Bombers

Museum project design and management

Espai Bombers – Prevention Park, inaugurated in 2016, is a museum space that highlights the history of the Fire Department of Barcelona through the exhibition of its heritage and its link with the city for more than 180 years, as well as a training and informative center dedicated to prevention and self-protection.
The Espai Bombers is located in the old Fire Station of Poble-Sec, the only historical park that is preserved in Barcelona. It was built for the Universal Exhibition of 1929 and was a pioneer building: the first one that was planned to meet the demands of its use and adapted to the new needs of the service.
The permanent exhibition is complemented by temporary exhibitions dedicated to the world of prevention and firefighters.

MagmaCultura has designed the museological project and the executive museographic project, and is also responsible for its integral management.
