The general director of the Botín Foundation, Íñigo Sáenz de Miera, the executive director of the Botín Center, Fátima Sánchez, and the director of the museum’s plastic arts department, Begoña Guerrica-Echevarría participated last Friday in the opening of the exhibition ‘PICASSO IBERO’ at the Botín Center in Santander.

This new cultural offer, which can be visited in Santander until September 12, allows visitors to discover the art of the Iberians and their influence on the work of Pablo Picasso. The exhibition, organized by the Centro Botín in collaboration with the Musée National Picasso-Paris, has the support of the Picasso family and is curated by Cécile Godefroy, with Roberto Ontañón Peredo as associate curator.

The organization of ‘PICASSO IBERO’ has brought together the most important experts in the world in Iberian art. This is the first exhibition of this importance, bringing together more than 200 Iberian and Picasso works, including 14 pieces from the Museé du Louvr collection.

For MagmaCultura it is an extraordinary challenge to bring the public closer to a unique exhibition, facilitating public access to the figure of Picasso and contributing to improving the visitor’s experience.
