Presentation of “Sorolla, a new dimension”

This past Wednesday, 03/29, the event was held for the presentation to the media of “Sorolla a new dimension“, an exhibition conceptualized and produced by the Layers of Reality team together with La Marina de València. Once it is inaugurated, on June 15, MagmaCultura will be in charge of the management and attention to the public.

The production will premiere this summer in a unique enclave, both for its location, next to the sea in Valencia, and for what it meant as a setting for the inspiration and creation of the artist’s work.

To receive the exhibition, the 2,000-square-meter building will be equipped with unique technological equipment in Europe and with contents that will allow visitors to delve into the Valencia of Sorolla, his life and his work through multiple museographic techniques with a marked technological load. and the participation of digital artists. The proposal, innovative and spectacular, wants to appeal to emotions, offering a new narrative built on the basis of scientific and academic rigor.

The exhibition has the support of Valencian institutions such as the Design Foundation of the Valencian Community, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Valencia City Council, as well as the collaboration of the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, and is integrated into the programming of the Joaquim Sorolla Year to provide a new vision of the artist.

The presentation to the media held in the Velas e Vents building in La Marina was attended by the mayor of Valencia, Joan Ribó; the deputy general director of La Marina de València, Evarist Casillas; the CEO of Layers of Reality, Jordi Sellas; the curator and president of Layers of Reality, Artur Duart, and imma Fondevila, project manager for Magmacultura.
