The Power of Art, guided tours at the Congress and the Senate

To commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Spanish Constitution, the Museum Reina Sofia has been invited to present works from its collection in the two most symbolic political venues of Spanish democracy, the Congress of Deputies and the Senate.

Until March 2, we can discover through a guided tour the different artistic interventions, located in places that have not been designed for them, allowing the visitor to imagine new uses and functions, both of art and of the occupied spaces. All the works are either of essential artists for the knowledge of the relations between art and the history of the years of the Transition, or of artists who represent the first generation that grows in conditions of freedom and democracy.

A unique opportunity to think over the role that art plays in contemporary society and, at the same time, to know the spaces of the Congress and the Senate.
